KIITA

Founded with veterans and young adults in mind, our mission welcomes every mental health journey — not just one diagnosis. We’re building through community events and awareness while programs take shape. Compassion starts today.

About KIITA

Keep It In The Air is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting those who struggle silently — veterans carrying the weight of service, young adults finding their footing, and anyone navigating mental health challenges of any kind.

Our name comes from a simple idea: life can feel like keeping a beach ball in the air. Some days it’s easy, some days the wind fights you, and some days you need someone else’s hands to help. We are those extra hands.

KIITA was founded in response to PTSD, bipolar disorder, and addiction — but our mission is broader than any single diagnosis. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, a mood disorder, substance use, or any other mental health concern, you belong here. Right now we are building our foundation through community events and awareness — sharing who we are, what we stand for, and the support we aim to offer. Programs are on the horizon; compassion starts today.

Community First

We build connections that break isolation and foster belonging.

Compassionate Action

Empathy without action is incomplete. We show up and follow through.

No Stigma

Mental health struggles are not weaknesses — they’re part of the human experience.

Resilience

We help people build the strength to keep going, one day at a time.
